New Venture

I'm excited to announce a new business venture!! I've decided to merge with another photographer.. she's such a great girl.. we like to think we're 'kindred sprits'.. to those of you who were Anne of Green Gables Fans, you know exactly what I'm talking about! She's the mom of three great kids, one of whom is in my daughter Katlyn's class. She's an amazing graphic design artist and photographer, but doesn't love the business side of things.. talking in front of people, etc... I've had plenty of experience in that area, but as she says, "shudder to open up photoshop" for anything other than editing photos.. she is a genius with that and designing. We decided after photographing all of the NLSC's spring soccer photos.. well.. we just work better together. We feed off each other's creativity and imagine the great things we can do together. If I only had a nickel for every time I said.. I wish someone else was here with me during this shoot, who thinks and shoots just like I do... Well, that's Niki! I just love her! :) So, to my brides that have weddings this summer, fear not.. you may just get two photographers instead of just one... YEAH!
These are some photos we took of each other at PCN :)

I can't imagine the fun we're going to have..............

Jen and Jon

What a great way to start my 2010 wedding season! Jen and Jon were such a blast, and I don't think I've ever met a more laid back bride. Just the sweetest thing! And they are soo in love.. and they've been together FOREVER, which makes it even sweeter :) My friend Eve let me use her beautifully restored barn to snap some photos, which made things extra special. Thanks Jen and Jon for making it a great day!

Little Mackenzie

Little Mackenzie is such a sweetheart. She wasn't sure what to think of me at first.. but she just needed a little bit of time to warm.. literally :) When she arrived, we put some headbands on her, and she was so chilly her little teeth were chattering.. I felt so bad! So we decided to dress her and take her down into the sun and let her sit in the little chair.. it's my magic chair! Children from 6 months to 2 years old just love it! It's the perfect "little person" size! Her mom and dad were so affectionate, and she just loved her daddy! He could get smiles out of her like no one else!

New Venture!

A professor from Widener Law School asked me to photograph him during the taping of a television show on PCN Network. He is hosting a show once a month, involving students in the topics of discussion and the research. This show involved Wes as the host, an attorney from the ACLU and Edward Marsico, the Dauphin County District Attorney. I asked my soon-to- be business partner, Nichole Wallace of Three's Company Photography to come along and take photos as well. We had a blast, and here are some of the shots from the show!

Amber and Dave- Engaged!

This couple was an absolute BLAST to photograph.. first of all, we were in the city. And those of you who know me, know that I LOVE the city! I especially love the capitol, and it's a photographer's dream. Secondly, Amber and Dave were up for anything.. I said "jump".. and they said "how high?" Literally.. check out some of the photos!! It was so windy and cold, but I was having so much fun, I didn't even realize that I was freezing half to death until I was done and got into the car... but it was so worth it!! I can't wait until their wedding!

Sweet Newborn!

I had the pleasure of photographing this little beauty at 12 days old. Although we never got her to sleep, she was still so beautiful!! She was just wide awake and aware.. we tried warm water bottles, her pacifier, but she decided to stay awake until the photo shoot was over. She was a long-awaited little girl after two boys, so her mom and I had fun dressing her up with lots of little hats and headbands!

Happy First Birthday!

I love first birthdays... it's such a memorable milestone! I love to photograph children on their first birthday as well.. they are developing such personality, and I love to try and capture that. This was fun with custom wrapped presents (that mom let me keep for future photo shoots) balls, and a little tea party table! Oh, and we can't forget those beautiful blue eyes!!!!!

Fisher Five :)

What a fun family to photograph.. they were so full of joy and love.. makes my job even easier.. (and FUN!!) These are good friends of mine and I had such fun with them! And I love shooting at sunset, it's my favorite :)

Engaged!!

I just LOVE this couple... they are sooo sweet! I only had about TEN minutes to photograph them before it started pouring down rain, with a lightning storm! When I met them, it turns out we have a lot of connections from the past.. both Matt and I had the same fifth grade teacher from a small Christian school.. and Matt's grandfather and my husband's grandfather were great friends.. what a small world! I am SO excited to photograph their wedding in August at the Hershey Gardens- they make such a beautiful couple!!

Birthday Party!!

It was Matthew's 3rd birthday, and I got to be a part of it! I have been photographing little Matthew (and his curls) for a few years now, and he's a sweetie! His mom and dad love him so much, which is always so evident! Mom went out of her way to create a special day for him with custom-made bowling pin favors, and matching bowling shirts for the three of them. It was a special day, and I was glad to be a part of it!

Baby Caitlynn

This little girl was such a sweetheart. She was happy from the very beginning... no waiting for her to warm up! The only thing she wasn't wild about was wearing her bathing suit in the grass... grass can be intimidating at first to little babies which I have learned from experience!! And what beautiful big eyes... I just love 'em!
